Visiting for the day were passengers from the P & O Lines

A trend that is seeing a new style of visitor drop by the Principality.
These giant floating cities dock or anchor at the Western Australian Port of Geraldton where passengers offload and are transported to accessible locations of their own choosing, many choosing to visit the Principality where HRH has offered to receive the passengers by offering "Morning Tea with the Prince".

The visit by "Sun Princess" saw 37 passengers from the ship ably driven to the Principality from the docks, a distance of approx 90kms, by Coach Captain John Rybka of
Adams Coach lines. under the guidance of Ms Sylvia Raux of the Northampton Visitor Centre.

On arrival at Hutt the passengers were met by HRH Prince Leonard and shown over to the Tearooms where all was prepared for "Morning Tea with the Prince".
HRH Princess Shirley was inside to greet the visitors and all were seated at the tables and addressed by Prince Leonard whilst they took a moment to rest. drink and eat a little as the story of Hutt was told. Once all were satisfied the tour of the area began with first stop the Govt Building where special Visa's had been prepared and were awaiting issue to each of the visitors. Here once again more of Hutt was told, questions were answered whilst stamps and coins were studied and seen.

From the Govt Buildings it was on to the Chapel of Nain with various photo opportunities before reaching it and then plenty of photo opportunities inside once the story of the paintings etc had been told by Prince Leonard. After the listening and questions it was time for everyone to check out the Royal Chairs and grab that photo opportunity.

From the Chapel to the arcade, (recently inundated with a flash flood, twice in 10 days) where more history was shown and discussed before a look at the Crystals and souvenirs of Hutt.

From the arcade it was back to the bus and time to head back to the docks ready to catch the tender back out to the Ship.

Seems this may become a regular thing, at least in the immediate future, as P & O, particularly it's "Princess Cruises", run a regular Cruise along the West Coast of Australia with a stop at Geraldton, only 90kms south of the Principality.
