AFTER ACTION
First Quarter Report
January - March 2011:

 Since my last report we have gained one more member - Frontierswoman Candice Wallin.

We still continue to "man" the "coffee mornings" in Ridgedale and on 29 occasions the troop again ran this event.

On 12 occasions we helped run the bingo sessions but unfortunately due to low attendances over the last 6 months the Ridgedale Bingo Committee decided to close down the bingo after 27 years.  The last event was held on 25th March 2011.

On 3 occasions during this quarter we helped sort items delivered to the Salvation Army Charity Store in Tisdale.  As always proceeds raised were for local charities.

The Food Bank  -  7 times the troop ran the Tisdale Food Bank Distribution Centre.
On 11 occasions the troop collected food contributions from various stores in Tisdale and delivered them to the Food Distribution Centre for allocation. Emergency food hamper was issued to one person in dire need of help during this quarter.

Medical Car  -  13 times local residents were transported for medical appointments to and from the cities of Saskatoon and Melfort.

Food catering duties carried out 9 times for Ridgedale Pot Luck Suppers and the Annual Trojans Breakfast (approx 125 people attended) - guest speakers were 2 Saskatchewan Roughrider Canadian Football players .

Our member with musical talent entertained various seniors centres and care homes in the area with friends on 9 occasions.

Helping Hands  -  Assisted with the organising of 2 local snow mobile rallies.  Quite a few people in the area "go south" for the winter (they are known as SNOWBIRDS) and members carried out 40 security checks on private property and/or fed the peoples pets during their absence.  Elderly people were also helped to clear snow from their driveways, paths ,etc.

23 volunteer duties were carried out at a local nursing home.

Ridgedale Co-op hosted the area Co-op managers lunch and meeting - members of the troop helped with catering duties at this event.

 A good start to the year in this first quarter.
