Second Quarter Report
April - June 2008:

Chief Commissioner Metcalfe reports once more the great inputs to the local community provided by he and the members of this unit throughout the second quarter of 2008
being April - June inclusive.

Chief Commissioner Metcalfe reports:...............

"During this period we delivered 61 "Meals on Wheels" to the sick and aged in the town of Outlook.
 
We assisted the nurse at the "Wellness" clinic on one occasion and issued snacks on 13th May to needy pupils at the Outlook Elementary School during their mid morning break.
 
We held a very successful "Yard Sale" for troop funds on 24th May.
 
Will Clough, Legion of Frontiersmen Australian Division and Val Baker Legion of Frontiersmen New Zealand were awarded our Service Medal for rendering outstanding assistance and advice to this command.
 
Sergeant Janice Bennett was awarded the Principality of Hutt River's Officer of the Illustrious Order of Merit (O.I.O.M.) for service and dedication to this command. (see photo below)
 
On 1st May we attended an Appreciation Lunch for Volunteers at Outlook Elementary School.
Outlook Centenary Celebrations - August 2008 - we are to take part in the town parade and also carry out security duties at an exhibition to be held in the Royal Canadian Legion Hall".
