Legion of Frontiersmen, Independent Command CANADA - Second Quarter Report June 2013

Please find my report for April, May, June 2013.

	On 3 occasions catering duties were carried out at the Ridgedale Pot Luck Suppers.
	Medical Car - 5 times local residents were transported for medical treatment to and from Saskatoon and Nipawin.
	On 6 occasions during the quarter we helped sort items delivered to the Tisdale Salvation Army, proceeds as usual for local charities.
	Food Bank - 4 times the troop ran the Tisdale Food Distribution Centre.
	On 8 occasions during the quarter troop members collected food contributions from local stores for the Food Bank for distribution.

Tisdale Twisters Gymnastics Club Annual Walk - 2 members took part in this event to help raise funds for this youth organisation.

	Relay for Life - held this year in the city of Melfort - 5 members took part in this survivors walk in aid of funds for cancer research.
	20 volunteer duties were carried out at a local nursing home.
	Helping Hands - Once again during this quarter members carried out 6 duties checking vacant property. On 2 occasions a member assisted staff at a local junior school helping children with reading difficulties.
	Our member with musical talent again helped entertain at various seniors centres and care homes on 5 occasions.
	Annual Awards Day - held in June at the Ridgedale Seniors Hall - members who qualified for awards received them during the meeting. (See separate report & photo's click here)
