News from the UK Unit

bullet

Frontiersman Archie Cook recently (July 14-15) successfully took part in the Oxfam Trailwalker event in the UK.
This event is held on the South Downs and walkers must cover a distance of 100k in 30 hours.  Archie did it in 29hours 4minutes.  The check points are all manned by the Regiment of Gurkhas. Oxfam and the Gurkha Charity have joined forces with the aim of the event to raise both funds and awareness in order to help those in poverty.
This year 1902 walkers started the walk and 1465 completed it.
It is believed that the total raised in the 2012 will top the one million UK pounds mark!

Well done Archie!!!

This concludes my report for this quarter.

Yours in service.

Sir G.B.Metcalfe  KGCIOM., MCM., AMM., KR., DSR.
